About Gonzalo Mendez
Gonzalo Mendez is a retired law enforcement professional with over 30 years
of experience in community corrections and criminal justice. Throughout his
career, he held senior leadership roles including Deputy Chief and Division
Chief within the San Diego
County Probation Department, where he
specialized in developing evidence-based programs, fostering multi-agency
collaborations, and leading innovative re-entry and supervision initiatives.
Currently, Gonzalo serves as a Business Development Consultant for SCRAM
Systems. He is also a dedicated educator, teaching criminal justice courses at
San Diego State University to prepare future professionals in the field. His
career reflects a deep commitment to public safety, offender rehabilitation,
and community engagement.
